The Alliance of Muslim Associations Ghana (COMOG) is approaching Individuals from Parliament (MPs) to guarantee the quick entry of the Advancement of Legitimate Human Sexual Freedoms and the Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021.
This appeal is in response to Alban Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, who directed the House's Business Committee to schedule a Thursday debate on the Bill.
The bill's primary goals are to make LGBTQ activities illegal and to make rules about human sexual rights and Ghanaian family values. In addition to offering protection and assistance to children, it aims to make LGBT-related activities illegal.
In a meeting with Citi News, Hajj Abdel-Manan Abdel Rahman, the Leader of COMOG, underscored the significance of maintaining the traditions, customs, and strict convictions of the country.
He asked the MPs to satisfy their obligation by passing the bill in arrangement with these standards.
"A chance for the MPs are seen to be working for the LGBT people group to make a move to clear themselves. And furthermore the stage is likewise a chance for the populace to evaluate their MPs," he added.
According to Mr. Rahman, a CDD report showed that more than 95% of Ghanaians opposed LGBT activities. "This means that any MP who would stand against this effort will suffer for it," he said. It informs you that Ghanaians will support you if you support this call.
