Everton readying smash and grab for Manchester United forward Dyche failed to sign before

Everton are readying an aggressive approach to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga, according to reports.

In January, it became abundantly clear that the Toffees needed help with their hopes of survival. Dwight McNeil, the team's leading scorer, had just seven goals by the season's end, so Sean Dyche took over a team with few goals.

The issues were intensified in that Dyche was just given the work a couple of days before the window shut. As a result, despite his efforts to add a few attackers to alter his side's fortunes, the limited time he had made things extremely challenging.

However, that wasn't the main explanation he couldn't work on his crew. After attempting to sign Elanga from United in February, there were reports that the manager was unable to "persuade" the Red Devils to let him go.

Everton miraculously remained in the Premier League despite being outscored by only one other team by two points.

Consequently, Dyche seems eager to strengthen his team once more to avoid a similar predicament by the end of the following season.
