Silvio Berlusconi, a former owner of AC Milan and Monza, passes away at age 86.

Silvio Berlusconi, a former Italian prime minister and owner of AC Milan, passed away at the age of 86.

Before his passing, the well-known politician and former owner of the Serie A team Monza was hospitalized and battling illness.

Two Serie A teams belonged to the former Italian prime minister.

Berlusconi was in charge of Milan's three European championships.

According to Italian media sources, he passed away while receiving treatment for a lung infection connected to leukemia at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan.

Between 1994 and 2011, Berlusconi served as the leader of four different Italian governments. He recently made a comeback to the political scene when Georgia Meloni, the current prime minister, and his Forza Italia party formed a coalition.

Football fans remember him most for his 31-year ownership of Serie A powerhouse Milan, which ended in 2017.

Milan won three Champions Leagues, eight Serie A championships, and a Coppa Italia after taking over the team in 1986.

Just one year after selling the squad to a group headed by Yonghong Li, Berlusconi made a comeback to football with the neighborhood team Monza.

In 2021, the squad received its first promotion to Serie A, and Berlusconi garnered media attention by promising the players sex workers in exchange for defeating one of the league's elite teams.

In 2022, he was caught on camera telling the lads: "I told the guys... now you will play Milan, Juventus. His career has been marred by sex scandals. I'll bring a bus of whores into the locker room if you defeat one of these top teams.
