Midfielder Youri Tielemans of Leicester has signed a contract with Aston Villa.
After his contract with Leicester expires on July 1st, the 26-year-old international from Belgium will join the team.
Following Leicester's relegation from the Premier League, Tielemans was also thought to be of interest to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Roma.
Tielemans joined Leicester in 2019 and assisted the Foxes in winning the FA Cup in 2021. He is anticipated to be Villa's first summer signing.
Tielemans, who is anticipated to be Villa's first summer acquisition, joined Leicester in 2019 and was instrumental in the Foxes' 2021 FA Cup victory.
In the championship game, Leicester defeated Chelsea 1-0 thanks to the Belgian's lone goal. In 195 appearances across all competitions, he scored 28 goals for the team, making up a total of 28 goals.
Tielemans initially moved to Leicester from Monaco on loan in January 2019, then in July of that same year, his move was made permanent in a then-club-record £40 million transaction.
Tielemans joins Villa after they qualified for the Europa Conference League by finishing seventh in the Premier League the previous campaign.
In a farewell video message posted on Instagram in May, Tielemans expressed gratitude to Leicester supporters and that he would be "forever grateful" for their support.
